This is a minutiae blog

link
So, FotB* Lexiconance has started an apparently anonymous book reviewing site, and done a link exchange. You'll notice that I updated to a far fancier link exchange applet. Anyhow, I got listed under 'minutiae blogs,' along with 'What I Ate For Lunch Today and Why' and 'What I Saw Riding My Bike Around Today'.
O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us
To see oursels as others see us
It wad frae monie a blunder free us
An' foolish notion
What airs in dress an' gait wad lea'e us
An' ev'n Devotion

you got listed under that 'cause there's no other non-lit category yet.

plus i rather like the idea of deeming "fears and frets" "minutiae." suggests a certain confidence in the world.

What, is there something wrong with being a minutiae blog?!?

Emily,
Not at all. You're the mumblecore of the blogosphere. But, I'm not about minutiae. I don't typically refer to myself at all, much less the quotidian details of my day.
My blog is really about the large scale disasters of the present and people laying the groundwork for the disasters of the future. So, not minutiae. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The quotidian can often *also* be about the big disasters of past, present, and future. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Minutiae doesn't always mean little, inconsequential, or silly, I guess I'm trying to say.

Minutiae always means little things. That's what it means. And I understand that the larger reality is reflected through the details of your day -- I don't like to brag about this, but I do have a Bachelor of Arts degree.

I'm not arguing with the value of minutiae blogs, if that's even a standard term. I was just surprised to get labeled as one.
