New York has new anti-noise laws!

Who knew? This is exciting. Does anyone know more?
New York introduced laws last month to combat noise pollution.
Now, it doesn't say if this is New York City or New York State. But, I hope it involves the MTA, and I hope they get cracking on the subway.
  1. Fewer Announcements
  2. Clearer Announcements (The MTA seems to have an inclination to replace comprehensibility with frequency)
  3. Rubber wheels. The French can do it!
  4. More frequent maintenance. There are non-noise reasons for this, but noise is the main one.
I'll see if I can't find out something about this.
