Arkadyevitchizing America since 2006
By the time you panic, it is way too late -- Lee Raymond, New York Times, July 6, 2008
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies a theft from those who are hungry and not fed; from those who are cold and not clothed. This world-in-arms is not spending money alone; it is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. Dwight D Eisenhower, 11/16/53

How I got so illuminated
A shout out to the home church! The Fish Church, where I grew up, is pictured on pages 1 and 2 and given the title 'most illuminating' on page 3 of Life Magazine's online review of churches. Now I feel totally justified in wearing the fish bow tie my sister gave me to prom.
My hometown ended up on page 5 with "Pinkest", but didn't merit a photo. Oh, the glory.
ReplyDelete(Your hometown church looks awesome, by the way.)
Hey, it's not just my home town church, I'm still a member; I was there yesterday for Easter service. It's not even in my home town. I'd need a certificate of transfer to be a member somewhere else. Or, I guess I could go through Confirmation and Commissioning class again. Presbyterians are a bureaucratic bunch.
ReplyDeleteAny Sunday you'd like to take a jaunt out, we can grab the 9:07 out of Grand Central.
